Portals are energetic gateways that occur when a number of lines of energy converge and create a vortex. A vortex is a cone-like structure that funnels collected energy and disperses it into another space – think of an old-fashioned sand-filled hourglass. Portals are created in many ways and can be positive or negative.
Finding and Creating Portals
A grown opening in a stone, such as a stalactite, rhodochrosite, or amethyst, creates a protected opening into the core energy of the stone. Rhodochrosite would connect to strong love and amethyst to core wisdom. Wearing such a portal helps you to strengthen and stabilize that core energy in your life.

These pendants usually consist of a natural stone, wood or shell frame that sets the base energy of the pendant. The center of the pendant is usually empty, with the addition of trace elements and designs activating this central gateway in some manner.
Portals are also created by sacred geometry, mandalas, and crystal grids. Sacred Geometry depicts universal lines of energy and thus are road maps to different energetic fields. Any point where the sacred geometry lines cross or converge creates a vortex and, in turn, a portal or energetic gateway. Using crystal grids can aid you in creating your own stable portal or gateway to a specific energy you are seeking to work with.
Portals can also form when a person stands somewhere and focuses hard on a particular subject, for they are calling in many universal energies – consciously or unconsciously – to lock into the land. These forces can be positive or negative. Energy workers will consciously clear an area to remove some negative energy blockages or portals that might have been unconsciously or consciously dropped there by circumstances.
A group of people can help to create a portal into a field of energy through their collective thoughts. Together, they can create a vortex of all the energies coming to them. For example, a church or temple is a gateway or portal to the specific energy on which the congregation is focused.
