Selenite Desert Rose is a form of selenite formed in desert areas when sand becomes trapped as the crystals form, creating a swirling, flower petal pattern. Desert rose centers you in your energy field, dissolving self-imposed negativity or beliefs so you can move in a better direction. It also gently moves surrounding energy into coherence, promoting flexibility.
Like other forms of selenite, this stone works very well with the third eye and crown chakras. It provides mental clarity and enhances meditation.

Geology
Selenite is considered a sedimentary rock. It is a crystallized form of gypsum created from evaporated saline water. This crystal is also considered an inorganic form of selenium, a mineral used for immune system disorders. When sand becomes trapped in or around the crystals as they form, a Selenite Desert Rose is created. Barite is also sometimes trapped in the formation of this stone. It can be found worldwide where selenite is formed.

Selenite Desert Rose resonates with the crown and third eye chakras.
Care
You can place desert rose in full moon moonlight to energize. It can also be moved through sage smoke or incense, placed in rice, or buried in the earth overnight. Selenite should not be washed.

Capricorn, Scorpio, and Taurus are all believed to resonate with Selenite Desert Rose.
Health Folklore
Folklore states that selenite desert rose helps align the spinal column, remove energy blockages, and stabilize epileptic disorders.
