Sand inclusions can turn barite a shade of brown and shape it into a flower-like formation. These are called Desert Roses. Barite Desert Roses can be found in Mexico, Algeria, Spain, Namibia, Morocco, and Argentina. Some have also been found in the United Kingdom and United States.
This stone is associated with the crown and third eye chakras.
You can place this stone in full moon moonlight to energize. It can also be moved through sage smoke or incense, placed in rice, or buried in the earth over night.
Barite is associated with Aquarius.
Barite Desert Roses are said to help fight addiciton as well as balance brain chemistry.
