Famed research duo Robert Bunsen and Gustav Kirchhoff discovered lepidolite in 1861.
Lepidolite’s name comes from the Greek word for “scales”, referencing the lithium that forms on the outside of this stone.
Because lepidolite contains lithium, it has been used in the production of a variety of products.
Geology
Lepidolite is a relative of muscovite and is made up of mica and lithium. It is typically pink or purple in color. This crystal is found in Brazil, Russia, the United States, Canada, and Madagascar.

Lepidolite is associated with the heart, throat, third eye, and crown chakras.
Care
You can place lepidolite in full moon moonlight to energize. It can also be moved through sage smoke or incense, placed in rice, or buried in the earth overnight.
