Historical Folklore
The name epidote comes from the Greek word for “addition”. This refers to the many crystal faces on this stone.
Geology
This stone is a calcium aluminum iron silicate mineral. Various types of epidote exist, and different colors are given separate names, such as Zoisite and Unakite. Epidote stones are found in the United States, Bulgaria, Austria, France, Russia, Norway, South Africa, Pakistan, Mozambique, and Mexico.

Care
You can place this stone in full moon moonlight to energize. It can also be moved through sage smoke or incense, placed in rice, or buried in the earth overnight.
