Nephrite Jade is one of two types of crystals commonly referred to as Jade. It was valued by Aborigine New Zealand and Classical China for its ability to balance and draw in male, female, and spirit energies to bless activities on earth. This is a wise, gentle, sacred, and peaceful stone that can be used to balance one’s energies, allowing one to release stress.

Historical Folklore

The Aztecs prized jade as a way to connect to their gods. It was also used for healing.

In ancient times, jade was believed to be a stone of weather magic. It was believed one could control the elements and call the weather using this stone.

During the Middle Ages, this crystal was believed to help women going through childbirth by providing peaceful, calming energy.

Chinese folklore states that jade can transfer its virtues into your body. 

The term “nephrite” comes from the Greek work for “kidney”. It is thought to be able to aid these organs.

Geology

Nephrite is a type of magnesium calcium silicate mineral. Along with jadeite, it is commonly referred to as Jade, although they are two different types of crystals. It has been found in a variety of colors worldwide.

Nephrite is typically associated with the soma, third eye, solar plexus, and heart chakras.

Astrological Association

This crystal is associated with Cancer and Libra.

Health Folklore

It is believed that Nephrite can help clear the kidneys of toxins, as well as promote fertility.
