Our Labradorite Power Bracelets are made using 8 mm top quality gemstone beads on either a regular 7.5″ or a large 8.5″ heavy duty elastic cord. These are peacefully handcrafted by Crystal Life’s own artisan energy workers.

Labradorite Freeform Specimens

Labradorite has caught the attention of crystal enthusiasts because of the beautiful colors and sheen the stone exhibits. Gently turn a piece of this stone in your hands and you’ll be met with many beautiful colors and flashes of light. A stone of uncommon spiritual power, Labradorite can have high to extremely high vibrational energy, depending on the individual stone. Mystical and protective, this stone raises consciousness and helps to connect to universal energies. By deflecting unwanted energies from your aura, it forms a barrier that does not allow energy leakages. Labradorite also aligns the physical and etheric bodies. A stone of initiation and acceptance, labradorite is also known to help with creativity.

Labradorite Folklore

This stone is named after its location of discovery on the Isle of Paul, near Nain, Labrador, Canada. It was discovered there in 1770 by a Moravian missionary.
Lore from the Inuit people states that this stone fell from the Aurora Borealis as a frozen fire.

Geology

Labradorite is part of the feldspar group of stones along with others we carry here such as Sunstone and Moonstone. More specifically Labradorite is a Plagioclase Feldspar making it different than both sunstone and moonstone. It gets its stunning shimmer of colors, known as Labradorescence, from a twinning surface inside the stone. Twinning is one of the many properties found in plagioclase stones. That being said, Labradorite is the only plagioclase stone that exhibits Labradorescence so strongly.
