Since ancient times, Onyx has been used as both a decorative stone and the base of art and sculpture. White and Black Onyx were often paired together for ornamental purposes.
Onyx is classified as a Chalcedony stone. Geologically, it is considered a type of Agate. Onyx can be found in black or white. It can be found in the United States, Mexico, Italy, Russia, South Africa, and Brazil.
This stone is associated with the third eye and crown chakras.
You can place this stone in full moon moonlight to energize. It can also be moved through sage smoke or incense, placed in rice, or buried in the earth over night.
