Our Copal specimens come in a variety of sizes.

Copal is a “younger sibling” to amber. It is tree resin that is less than 100,000 years old and in the process of transforming into amber. It has a soft, gentle energy that is protective yet resilient. Copal pens and cleanses the chakras. It is useful for the solar plexus chakra, good health during birthing, and overcoming depression.

Historical Folklore

In ancient Mexico and South America, copal was used as an offering to the gods of many civilizations.

Copal is often used to make incense.

Geology

Copal is a type of tree resin. Through polymerization, it becomes amber. It can be found worldwide but is notably prominent in Africa.

This resin is associated with all chakras.

Care

You can place this resin in full moon moonlight to energize. It can also be moved through sage smoke or incense, placed in rice, or buried in the earth overnight.

Astrological Association

This resin is associated with Leo and Aquarius.

Health Folklore

This resin is believed to aid the elimination organs, such as the liver and bladder. It can also be used to aid the throat via the throat chakra.
