Tumbled Honey Calcite | Large

These are Large pieces of high grade Tumbled Honey Calcite. These stones all have a rich translucent honey color to them and a smooth, glassy tumbled surface. Some show beautiful creamy white banding throughout. They vary in shape and size but average about 1″ in length.

Honey Calcite assists in coating the aura with a protective layer. This stone is useful for breaking hold habits and bringing abundance back into your life.

Historical Folklore

The name Calcite is derived from the Latin word calcit, meaning “lime.” It is notably present in marble and limestone formations.

Given that calcite is so often present in marble and limestone, it has been used as a base for architecture and construction throughout history.

Honey Calcite is thought to be able to pull divine energy down through the body.

Geology

Calcite is a very common stable form of calcium carbonate along similar in composition to other calcium carbonate minerals such as Aragonite. It is often found as a component of limestone but large singular Calcite crystals do occur in many forms. Calcium carbonate is often the most prominent mineral component of the hard shells marine life and forms the “skeleton” that supports all hard coral reefs. Calcite specimens have been found in over 1000 different crystallographic forms and with a widely varying scale of colors possible for each of those forms. These tumbled Honey Calcite Pieces have been sourced from Mexico.

Tumbled Honey Calcite Care

Bathe in full moonlight regularly to energize crystals. Cleanse regularly by placing on a piece of selenite or by moving through the smoke of sage. These stones can be gently washed with soap and water if necessary for a very brief amount of time. Calcites will begin to dissolve if left in water for to long.
