|
Many people and traditions speak about humans being stewards of earth. What does that mean - really? It does NOT mean we get to control and destroy all the earth-related life forms around us. It DOES mean we need to listen to their needs, sometimes conflicting ones, and determine with them what is the highest good for all concerned.
Fortunately, most of these worlds are kinder and gentler than the human world. Unfortunately, it means most of them have grown weary of trying to get emotionally volatilie humans to cooperate in a peaceful manner, and they withdrew, standing behind shadowy curtains of energy that safely separate them from us.
But they, like us, are aware that this is the time of the changing of the ages. Any such nebulous time mean the frequencies can cross over and blur. Our world and theirs are coming into contact with each other once more.
It is up to both parties to work together, to establish new parameters for cooperation, to bridge the gaps and maintain the open doors as the new energies take form and settle in.
Humans are choosing, by evolving disciplines, the ways to make these cross overs work. Some through sound, others through herbs, stones, art, photography, alternative therapies.
We invite you to travel through our website and see the various types of tools, stones and library information available there. Visit our events area for up-coming workshops and our book section for Atala's new book on interdimensional cooperation.

Greetings!
It's been a long winter, for those of us in the snow states, and it's good to know Spring is just around the corner. We saw our first robin a few days ago, in the back yard, and knew Nature's promise of new life and rebirth was once again about to burst forth.

Spring (Stone) Cleaning |
It is important to clean your stones on an occasional basis. Like everything else, stones need loving attention. They are living lifeforms and when they offer their love to their owner, they are faithful to the point of death.
Stones help us by balancing energy within their surroundings. Some do this by dissipating negative energy. These include tourmalines, kyanite and selenite. These are excellent stones for clearing space, such as in your home and office, or to wear. You can place other stones near them or on them, to clear.
Other stones assist by empathicly identifying with the offending energy and seeking to balance it out with their own energy. These include the jaspers, which are very strong grounding stones. They are utilized by many energy workers as a way to bring spirit accurately down into matter in a strong and stable manner.
The king of the stones is the quartz family (includes amethyst, aventurine, rose quartz, smokey quartz, clear quartz, citrine). Quartz is the most important communication stone we have. It has been used throughout the ages by shamans to direct energy and is today used in technology industries to hold substances (glass is a derivative of quartz) and to assist in communication (it is a major component in watches, radios and computers).
Quartz' great strength as a communication and balancing vehicle is also their weak spot for they cannot seem to rest until balance is restored. If the energy is too much for them to handle, and they find no way to release it, they will explode, crack, break, or simply disappear.
Quartz has a warm, friendly, nourishing energy and a quartz cluster is a preferred way for clearing not only their own family but other stones as well. The cluster of points of different sizes, aiming in different directions, provides slight variations in frequency that assist each other to clear. To clear the quartz itself, selenite logs are excellent.
Clearing your stones can be accomplished in a variety of ways besides placing them on clusters. With soft stones, such as lapis, turquoise and malachite: If they are not extremely energetically dirty, you can hold them and focus your attention to clear them. You can hold them in your hand and smudge them with sage or some other clearing incense. You can give them a sound bath via a crystal or Tibetan bowl. The harder stones (flourites, calcites, crystals), can be placed on a bed of kosher or sea salt for one to three days. You can place them outside during a thunderstorm or the full moon (but don't leave quartz in the sun: it might start a fire).
We brought back a large collection of quartz, selenite and kyanite from our Tucson trip. It is available on-line and at our St. Charles store.

Making Friends with Stones |
Some times you feel like eating chocolate and other days an orange. Sometimes you want to wear an empowering stone with one for communication - and other times a meditative stone with one for communication.
I always found it frustrating that I had to make do with someone else's combination of stones when I might need something else.
So I did something about it!! Here at Crystal Life we have assembled rooms full of stone charms, sacred geometry and symbolic pendants, so you can combine what you need now and switch about and add to in the future.
Please stop by these rooms and visit. We've labeled the pendants with information so you know the primary energies they bestow.

Stones - they CAN be your best friends and as good a companion as a pet!! They don't yell, bark or talk too much; they don't need to be walked or fed; they have been around a long time and are very wise in a quiet sort of way. They are always ready to play when you are. Drop by our website or store and find a friend for yourself...
Happy rolling along (like a tumbling stone!)
