ISIC – Vesica Balance Grid

For this grid, the intention was to create a tool that could aid in balancing the body’s various systems. The endocrine and lymphatic systems both run throughout the human body either releasing hormones or recycling blood plasma. The duties of these systems are far more complex than this synopsis. However, for the purpose of this blog, it is most important to understand that they play a large role in regulating your daily life.

With a specific physical target, I find it most appropriate to reference a crystal guide like “Crystal Prescriptions” by Judy Hall. The stones listed for the endocrine system that were decided to be most applicable were Fire Agate, Amber, Amethyst, Citrine, Yellow Jasper, Peridot, and Tourmaline. Tourmaline is also listed for the lymphatic system along with Moss Agate, and Blue Chalcedony. There are other appropriate stones, however these are the ones that intuitively “stuck out.” Blue Kyanite also wanted to be included in the group, as it very nicely clears energetic pathways.

As with most grids, there are different components which serve separate functions to complete the greater, complete function. Not only can crystals be used to map out the energies, but also other various items such as Slim Spurling Rings. Here there are two rings overlaid to create a Vesica Pisces. This works to achieve a couple of goals. First, the Vesica design offers an opportunity to analyze each of our sides, masculine and feminine. It then allows us to see our in-between parts, the places where our two sides mesh together. In this situation, with the directional aid of a few Clear Quartz Points, the Vesica is also being used as a figure eight infinity symbol. This creates a constant and balanced flow of energies. Standing with a foot within each side of the Vesica Pisces, the crystal energies follow the programed patterns (Vesica and Infinity) up, throughout, and back down your body and energy field.

Experiment with logical placements and patterns, and also with intuition and aesthetics. The more beautiful the crystal layout, all the more it will resonate and become beneficial.

Grandfather Buffalo – Following Your Path

First-StepWe have all been asked at one time or another, “What is it that you do? What spiritual path are you on?” Some of us have probably said “I don’t know what I am supposed to be doing. Who can show me my path?”

There are many people who guide and teach us on our journeys in life. And yet we may feel “I have all this knowledge but I still do not know where I am going or what my destiny is. Who can help me find the answer”?

In The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings series, Bilbo says: “It’s a dangerous thing going out your door, Frodo. You take your first step and you never know where it will lead you.”

Here, then, is the first step in fulfilling your purpose or destiny. Do not wait for someone to tell you what it is but, rather, just go forward. There may be times you travel off the path, or even seem to go in circles. You might even ask yourself, “What am I doing here, and where do I go next?”

We often seem to be in the Indiana Jones space, where he comes to a cave opening, and there is nothing to step on but air. By faith, he takes that step and a bridge appears. This is the best advice we could receive. Have faith and move forward.

It is almost certain that you will examine all the pros and cons of moving forward. You will say to yourself “I know I need to do this or that, but I also need to know that I can make a living doing this or that.” However, the dilemma is that the core answer is “not-this, not-that.” It is never wrong, then, when puzzling about your life, to move either forward or hold back. As I am often told, you are always where you’re supposed to be, regardless of the circumstance. Let life be your guide. Learn from and utilize the lessons.

Just let me close with this piece of advice.

“Step forward, my child. Your destiny is before you”.

“I know it is there. I just don’t know the way, Great Mother.”

“Here is the way, my child. Lift a foot, it matters not which one. Move it forward in the air. Now set it down firmly on the Earth. My little one, now lift the other foot and bring it forward, past the first one. Do you see, my child, that it is your path. Follow it where ever it leads.”

If you need help, here are a few stones from Crystal Life to assist you on your journey:

Clear Quartz, Amethyst, Smokey Quartz, Rose Quartz, Citrine.

Grandfather Buffalo – Crystal, Color, and the Chromatic Scale

chromaticscaleThere are several things I want to talk about. By the title you can guess what they are.

First, however, I would speak about the Mayan End of Days, Dec. 21st, 2012. We find that we are still here. It was not the end of days. Simply the end of the Mayan Calendar, and the beginning of a new day. Many people, including myself, have experienced this Calendar ending in various ways. Leaving us numb one minute, but in the next minute finding ourselves in a new world. Our personal vibrations are higher, as well as that of everything else.

This is where our adventure begins. The vibrations or frequencies of crystals/gemstones and color (chroma) are rising. These are used in many healing experiences. Crystal Healing, Color Healing, and Sound Healing, either separate or together.

Here are the tools you will need in order to experience this work in the following exercise.

1. Crystals and Gemstones of various colors

2. The Chromatic Scale

C C# D D# E F F# G G# A A# B C

The use of a Pitch Pipe, Harmonica, or other instrument is advisable. You may also sing the tone.

3. Some knowledge of the Chakras

Base – Red – C

Sacral – Orange – D

Solar Plexus – Yellow – E

Heart – Green – F

Throat – Blue – G

Third Eye – Indigo – A

Crown – Violet/White – B

4. A knowledge of the complementary color wheel, as you can mix colors for specific experiences.

Now let us experiment.

You have hurt your back and have pain. First see your Doctor for their expertise and proper medical treatment.

Secondly, or for supplementary support, find a blue stone and the note G#, a yellow/green stone and the note F, and perhaps a Violet stone and the note A.

1. Hold the blue stone, perhaps Blue Lace Agate. Visualize the color surrounding the injured area. Hold the stone and generate the sound of G#. Do this for two to three minutes. This acts as a sedative.

2. Now take the yellow/green stone, perhaps a lime colored Serpentine. Visualize the color surrounding the injured area. Hold the stone and sound the F note with the pitch pipe. Do this for approximately five minutes. This color and frequency will assist the healing process.

3. Use the Violet stone, maybe an Iolite, and create the A note.

4. Finally, use the blue stone and G# note once again.

Depending upon the colors you use, you may want to use a cooling color afterwards (ex: If you use a red stone, use it’s complimentary color green to cool it.

Grandfather Buffalo Best of 2012 – Using the Pendulum to Connect with Animal and Stone Energy

All this week we are bringing you our most popular blogs of 2012! Enjoy!

_____________________

The Pendulum is a dowsing tool used to find the answer to any question you may have. The answer you seek resides somewhere out there in the Universe. Today we will approach that task by connecting with nature. In many cultures, past and present, the Native American, Celts, or Baltic Shamans connected with Animal Spirits for guidance.

Let us choose ten Animals or Insects and their qualities to connect with. Of course, you may also choose your own.

1. Eagle – bigger picture, healing, illumination

2. Bear – intuition, personal rhythm, dream, healing

3. Dolphin – breathing, sound, water (emotion, etc.)

4. Butterfly – transformation, joy, change

5. Squirrel – activity, preparedness, sociability

6. Turtle – motherhood (nurturing), longevity, awakening to opportunity

7. Hawk – vision, gaurdianship, observe closely, opportunity

8. Frog – initiation, new beginings, solitary, rest

9. Dog – protection, loyalty, faithfulness

10. Cougar – coming into your own power, stealth, nightvision

We have ten animals and each of their qualities. Now let’s add some gemstones to the mix.

1. Picture Jasper - bigger picture

2. Amethyst - healing, inner wisdom

3. Turquoise – master healer

4. Moonstone – intuition, illumination

5. Apophylite – breathing, connecting physical and spiritual, akashic record

6. Crysanthamum Stone – joy, creativity, nature

7. Citrine – joy, abundance, creativity

8. Carnelian - energy, stability

9. Moss Agate - sociability

10. Chrysocolla - socialbilty

11. Aventurine – new beginings

12. Dalmation Stone - protection, faithfulness

13. Chrysoprase - empowerment

We now have the tools to use with the pendulum.

Take a couple deep breaths and focus clearly on a question. Ex: I really need to set up boundaries, which animal will assist me in that? Hold the pendulum over the list of animals and move down until you get a response. The Eagle has volunteered to assist clearly with a bigger picture. This will allow me to access what boundaries I need to take.

Now let’s look at the list of gemstones. As in the previous step, let’s see if there are one or more stones who volunteer. Move down this list to get your yes or no response. Picture jasper has volunteered the energy of the bigger picture while amethyst has offered the energy of inner wisdom.

Thank the animals and the stones. You will need to work with the stone until there is clarity around your question. My task is to look at all the areas I am involved in and decide which ones need to be active and which ones need to be set aside for now. There are too many irons in the fire, which ones do I need to take out and let cool off.

Grandfather Buffalo – Communicating with Quartz

Someone recently asked if we at Crystal Life had taught a class on crystal communication. They had the basic idea of animal communication, that it could be done. “I want to communicate with crystals, when will you have one?”

Let’s see if we can have a mini lesson with this blog. First we realize that everything is energy, and that energy has consciousness. Energy begins in the void as uncommitted, with no defined purpose, it just is. Source calls this energy out and defines it, gives it a consciousness. We then have all things energetically connected, yet having its own consciousness. So how do I communicate with quartz/gemstones? Let us see if we can do that with a quartz point that you have. Did you choose a quartz point to work with? How do you know it is the right one? Does it feel right?

Having answered a “yes” or “no” to any of the above questions is a definite indication that you have communicated with the quartz point in question. This is probably the most basic communication you may get. To go deeper you will connect with the crystal or gemstone Deva. Call upon her for permission to connect. You may also choose to connect with the stone elemental or guardian.

Now sit quietly, back straight, feet on the floor. Relax completely as possible in your chair. Breathe in and out slowly about five times. Focus on the crystal that you are holding, looking at it closely. When you feel you know what it looks like, close your physical eyes and see it with your mind’s eye. See the crystal point either standing on end or on its side. Walk around it until you see a doorway. Approach this door and knock on it. When the guardian spirit opens it, ask permission to go in. If the guardian says no, thank him and leave. If yes, enter and make a request, such as:

“I need direction” or “I need advice, can you direct me to a guide to help me?”

or: “Is it possible to explore this crystal’s inner dimension?”

A response to either question will bring a spirit guide, animal, elemental, angelic, or a spirit with a human form. Spend a few minutes with your questions or your tour. Slowly take a few deep breaths and come back to your body.

Were your questions answered sufficiently? How was your tour in the crystal’s inner dimension? What did you see, was it helpful and informative?

We then have experienced crystal communication which at some levels depends on the particular crystal shape or purpose of the quartz piece. Always remember to ask the crystal’s permission when you approach it. Show it the respect it deserves as it does have a consciousness.

ISIC – Consciousness Studies Grid

Embarking upon the spiritual journey is an exciting adventure. The quest for consciousness can sometimes also be a lot to take in. This grid is designed to ease stress and to optimize your capacity to absorb the many truths that surface while “on the path”. It offers an opportunity to relax and assimilate, perhaps in a meditation or while reading.

The stones are laid in the formation of a Merkabah within a Merkabah. This creates a solid, and balanced energy flow. Placed around the stones is a Slim Spurling Ring, in order to keep the space clear and energized.

The Aragonite serves as a base for the upward pointing triangle of the outer Merkabah. It encourages discipline and concentration while helping you to ground and center. At the point of this triangle stands Lapis Lazuli. This is one of the great Third Eye Chakra stones. It releases stress from your field which allows you to obtain a sense of serenity. This combined with its quality to bring objectivity and deep self-knowledge is the key to spiritual attainment. The downward facing triangle of the outer Merkabah is composed of Copper and Quartz. Copper stimulates initiative and philosophical energy. As well as Clear Quartz, Copper is exceptionally conducive of present energies and amplifies them. In this arrangement, the Quartz Points filter out distractions and unblock any energies that may need to be moved.

The inner Merkabah is simply made of Magnesite, which brings a deep peace in meditation, harmonizes the hemispheres of the brain, and calms stress.

The final addition to this grid is a Clear Quartz, four-sided pyramid. Pyramids are used to enhance and focus energy. Here, it is being utilized to send the energies of the layout up into the seat of the user.

All of these pieces create a peaceful atmosphere where it is more easily possible not only to push our self-imposed limits, but to be able to go far beyond them.

ISIC – Flowing with the Solar Flares

Many of us at Crystal Life have found ourselves being pulled in all sorts of directions due to the solar flares that are occurring this year. While we understand that these flares bring up emotional and behavioral issues that must be addressed, it can be both difficult and pressing at times yet with an end result that is very beneficial and for the better good. Working through these emotional and behavioral blocks is a lesson in itself to remain centered through all of these changes.

This is a merkabah grid, designed by Tammy and myself, to help ease this process of change and growth.

Here’s what you’ll need:

(1) Malachite

(6) Unakite

(6) Yellow Calcite

Malachite is the center piece for this layout. Malachite works to ground spiritual energy to the earth. When we are experiencing stress, malachite absorbs negativity while it harmonizes and balances. Also an aid in transformation, it assists in being receptive to insight from your subconscious. From there it is easier to see what is blocking your spiritual growth by getting to the core of the problem.

A Merkabah is an energy field which can be two dimensionally displayed by intersecting two opposite facing equilateral triangles (3-sided pyramids if you are working on three dimensions). A Merkabah is the complete balance of duality, light and dark. There are two complete Merkabahs being utilized as the structure of this grid. The inner-most composed of unakite, while the outer being yellow calcite.

Unakite offers a calm and gentle energy, which is crucial to maintain in your energy field at this time. Much like the malachite in this case, unakite integrates light into the field revealing insights regarding said blockages. It helps to uncover the root cause of any dis-ease and allows it to surface in order for the user to create change and transformation in their life.

Yellow Calcite clears the personal field as well as the environment with the purity and power of our sun. Growth and development are accelerated when using this stone. Using yellow calcite alleviates emotional stress, and connects the emotions with the intellect. When this is achieved, a greater sense of emotional intelligence is attainable. The light in this crystal helps to overcome setbacks, which is what many of us may perceive to be happening with these life changes. Then we may understand that set backs are really stepping stones for another reality.

The entire earth is currently experiencing these shifts, so I highly suggest the use of this grid in efforts to better the ability to flow in these times of great change. While a grid is ideal because it will work with an entire space, it would be advisable to at least carry this three-stone combination in your pocket or medicine bag. Most of all, remember that life is beautiful. Even the bumpy parts serve a beautiful divine purpose.

Staff Speak -Throat Chakra Stones

The throat chakra helps enhance how we express ourselves in this world.  This chakra is about creative expression, and voicing one’s truth.  It is a portal to divine guidance and expression.  Located above the hollow at the base of the neck and extending up to the larynx, it’s color ranges from light aquamarine to dark blue.  The thyroid, throat, ears, and mouth are body parts that are linked to the throat chakra.

Communication is the key to this chakra.  Communication is not only about talking, it is also about listening and being able to fully hear others, whether they are the people in your life or your guides. The following are stones that will help in these various ways:

Angelite is a stone that can assist in making conscious connection with your angels and guides.

Blue Kyanite encourages you to speak your truth and assists in opening the throat chakra.  It also helps to connect to your guides.

Lapis Lazuli helps self expression without holding back.  It assists in releasing repressed anger that may be causing communication difficulty allowing for free expression of inner turth in a compassionate way.

Amazonite is useful in knowing your truth and provides the courage to both speaking and living it.

For more information on the throat chakra, including additional stones, please visit the Crystal Life library page.

Staff Speak- Sacral Chakra

The second chakra, also known as the sacral chakra, is located in the area between the naval and approximately 2″ above the pubic bone.  This is the energy center where creativity resides enabling us to go with the flow.  It is also where our emotions about inter-relations with our personal world (friends, associates, lovers) resides.

Some stones that assist with this chakra are orange coral, chrysoprase, orange agate and carnelian just to name a few.  “A stone of the sea,” orange coral is good for working on relations with others.  Chrysoprase helps to release any stored up feelings in the second chakra.  Orange Agate helps you to go with the flow of life.  Moonstone helps to soothe and understand the emotions that we have stored in the second chakra.  Carnelian helps stimulate creativity.

There are many ways to utilize these stones for the second chakra.  Get two of the same kind and put one in each of your pant pockets where they can be near your sacral chakra.  You can wear one as a pendant to have the energy in your field throughout the day.

For more information on the sacral chakra, check out the library on the Crystal Life Technology website.
