ISIC – Vesica Balance Grid

For this grid, the intention was to create a tool that could aid in balancing the body’s various systems. The endocrine and lymphatic systems both run throughout the human body either releasing hormones or recycling blood plasma. The duties of these systems are far more complex than this synopsis. However, for the purpose of this blog, it is most important to understand that they play a large role in regulating your daily life.

With a specific physical target, I find it most appropriate to reference a crystal guide like “Crystal Prescriptions” by Judy Hall. The stones listed for the endocrine system that were decided to be most applicable were Fire Agate, Amber, Amethyst, Citrine, Yellow Jasper, Peridot, and Tourmaline. Tourmaline is also listed for the lymphatic system along with Moss Agate, and Blue Chalcedony. There are other appropriate stones, however these are the ones that intuitively “stuck out.” Blue Kyanite also wanted to be included in the group, as it very nicely clears energetic pathways.

As with most grids, there are different components which serve separate functions to complete the greater, complete function. Not only can crystals be used to map out the energies, but also other various items such as Slim Spurling Rings. Here there are two rings overlaid to create a Vesica Pisces. This works to achieve a couple of goals. First, the Vesica design offers an opportunity to analyze each of our sides, masculine and feminine. It then allows us to see our in-between parts, the places where our two sides mesh together. In this situation, with the directional aid of a few Clear Quartz Points, the Vesica is also being used as a figure eight infinity symbol. This creates a constant and balanced flow of energies. Standing with a foot within each side of the Vesica Pisces, the crystal energies follow the programed patterns (Vesica and Infinity) up, throughout, and back down your body and energy field.

Experiment with logical placements and patterns, and also with intuition and aesthetics. The more beautiful the crystal layout, all the more it will resonate and become beneficial.

Nature Spirits – The Birdman of Niagara Falls

Birdman of NiagaraHere is a photo of a gigantic Birdman. The nature spirits showed him to me on my outing to Niagara Falls.

I had just climbed down into an area near the Maid of the Mist boat ride and walk. The cold was biting through my light jacket, spray from the falls was beginning to soak through, and I was concerned about my camera, which was now carefully zipped inside my jacket. But the local nature deva was urging me to stay and look around – really look.

The tusseling between the nature deva and myself was increasing. The deva wanted the camera out and me photographing, I wanted to just leave the spot for someplace dryer and warmer…and the wind spirits who always enjoy teasing me when some really good shot is at hand were having great fun starting and stopping their spray play.

The nature deva of that site was getting a bit annoyed and frustrated that I was not understanding the message and literally would not let me move from the spot, finally strongly communicating to me to look up, there was something important to see, and helping me shift frequency to see the form. The deva wanted the Birdman photographed, insisting I assist. Devas can be very insistent when they need something accomplished, and on occasion I have been glued to a spot until I stop fighting the request and listen to their need.

As that is part of my contract with the nature spirits – to take their photographs for humans to learn to see them – I have gotten used to being “nagged” until I learn to shift my dimensional perspective to match theirs!

Finally the spirits and I came to a compromise. It was agreed I would visually line up the shot, duck behind a large boulder, and in the rare moments when the wind paused for breath, pull out my camera, dart out and get the shot. Here it is.

I’ve learned since that the Birdman is sacred to the Native Americans of many nations. According to a press release by Texas State University, “Morning Star, also known as Birdman, is a hawk-like figure that brings up the sun from the Beneath World each dawn. Morning Star is associated with everlasting life, and rulers at ceremonial sites in Illinois and Georgia seem to have taken on Morning Star’s divine identify.”

Here is an image of him crafted by an ancient artisan of the Mississippian Period, as it appeared in an announcement of a Texas State Univesity seminar on Native American symbols. I’ve placed it next to the Niagara image, so you can see the similarity.

As you can see, the Birdman’s energy is real and can manifest well in our third dimension. The presence of Birdman at the powerful and once-sacred Niagara Falls is yet another example of the reality of life forms of other dimensions who can be seen by some, who can manifest on earth when they wish to, and with whom we humans could work for the betterment of all.

Grandfather Buffalo – A Power Within

There is a power within each one of us that is life affirming. Without its presence, there is no life. This power is the power of breath. The body can continue for days without the nourishment of food. Many religious leaders have gone without food for forty days or more and have survived. But when the body is deprived of oxygen (the act of breathing), it ceases function, and life will cease to continue.

In our modern society, we do not think about breathing, after all it is an autonomic response. The body just does it, right? Why should we think about breathing?

Those who practice Breath Meditation, upon inhalation they bring the breath down to the lower abdomen and hold it there for a count, or pause, and then release it in exhalation. By this process they are engaging the torso from collar bone to navel in the breathing process. This process causes the diaphragm to expand and contract, successfully stimulating the body’s organs. The inhaled breath fills the lungs to capacity, goes into the bloodstream, and provides oxygen to the organs and other parts of the body.

We need today to focus on our breathing habit. We need to increase our intake of oxygen for increased nourishment of the bodily organs and their functions. There are many many medical aspects where breathing is impaired and one needs to rely on their doctor’s advice and treatments above all else. As we are able, we should begin a conscious breathing exercise which will assist the medical treatments. By doing so, we strengthen the lung capacity, revitalize our overall intake of necessary oxygen, and reduce stress levels of all kinds.

Whether by meditation practice, or just conscious breathing, I encourage you to take that first breath. It has helped me greatly over the past month on many levels.

From Our Friends – Macro Stone Photography

Duane Heaton – Agate Geode Slice

The beauty of stones as seen by nature photographers – here are a few of the viewpoints my colleagues at the Morton Arboretum Photographic Society found interesting. I brought in an array of Crystal Life’s stones to the Arboretum’s educational building, for the club to have fun photographing. More than twenty photographers – a limit ceiling because of available space – gathered to experiment with light, perspective and form. It was wonderful to see our stones appreciated in yet another way – for their sheer beauty of being!

What I found particularly interesting was how uniquely each of these nature photographers approached their subject. Their interactions with the stones varied from bold to subtle, classic to photographic experiments.

The club meets monthly at the Morton Arboretum and then takes additional outings to photograph various sites. This was a macro shoot. To see more views, visit the Macro Outing Room at the Club site.

If you are a local photographer – I highly recommend the group. Newbies and experts mingle and share photo tips and perspectives.

Cosmic Portal – Moving Outdoors Again

It’s time to start planning our outdoors living! Here are some natural energy tips from Crystal Life. Got any of your own? Email them to us, and we’ll post them in our library – friend us on Facebook and post there as well!

1. Talk to all the life forms in your yard. Everything in your yard is made of consciousness; it is aware and responds to basic universal energies such as love, and requests to contain one’s energy or to leave an area. So walk around your yard now and REALLY look at its energy. Talk to the insects, birds, plants and trees – send them loving energy. Request harmful energies to please realign, contain or remove themselves. Trees and plants love to know they are appreciated, and will grow better when you send them loving thoughts. An old dowsing tip: if you have invaders such as carpenter ants, select a part of the yard they can live in. Then connect to their
energy and let them know they must move there within a week, because you need to spray/protect the house area; they now have the free will to move or suffer the consequences.

2. Introduce items that will enrich the natural energy of your yard. The simplest? Bury a piece of quartz near a plant or area of your yard that needs to be rebalanced. Before you do – program it – that is the great gift of quartz, it can be programmed to hold an energy or thought. So place the thought in the crystal that it will restore to balance and optimize the energy of this area of the yard. Other helpful stones , applying homeopathic protocols of like assisting like, are moss agate (in areas where you want to gentle down the energy) and tree agate (where trees need a bit of a boost).

3. Crystal Catalyst ceramic beads are great for placing in plants – houseplants as well as outdoors – as they are resonant tools that clear energy and enhance beneficial energies. The cobalt blue bead is excellent for general all around health, the turquoise bead for gentler plants. If you have one of our pieces of energy jewelry now well worn, you can return the entire piece of jewelry to the earth in your yard, with wonderful results.

4Slim Spurling copper rings are powerful sacred geometry tools for providing very healthy, balanced energy to seedlings. The rings are specially constructed even though they look simple and generate a standing wave of healthy balanced energy inside the circle. You can also place them around an ailing plant – just drop it over the plant, it should rest on top of the earth.

5. The hardest case scenarios do well with a Slim Spurling Environmental Harmonizer. If you have powerlines nearby, cell phone towers, a lot of local traffic, plants that need energizing on a large piece of property or a farm – this is the very best tool for you to invest in!

6. And…lastly…for those who have neighbors with whom you are not enjoying pleasant relations: we suggest hanging a simple bagua mirror on the side of your home facing their property. The bagua is an ancient feng shui remedy; it generates a steady, non-fluctuating field of positive energy that helps everything and everyone in its path to be more positive in their energy!

From Our Friends – Nature Spirits of New Jersey

Salvador-Navarro-5-3Salvador Navarro has quite the gift for seeing the life forms in trees and rocks. In fact, once he started…he just kept going! Here are photos of nature beings by Salvador Navarro, taken at the Mills Reservation and Long Pond in New Jersey.

It is always a great joy for me to see people wake up to the aliveness of nature all around them, as they realize that they are able to see and communicate with their environment. Doing so is always such an expansion of personal satisfaction and sense of well-being for that individual.   Salvador tells us:

I am very new to this world of nature spirits, fairies, elementals, etc. It seems once I opened my perception to the star people, all these other worlds have opened up to me, including crystals which I am absolutely hooked on! I created a Facebook page called Wake Me Not From This Dream as a place to share all of my photos, which tend to be of nature. I also just created an album dedicated to the nature spirits. I will be sharing my learning experiences with all of these topics as well as sharing the works of others, including yourself.

Here are some of Salvador’s images, along with his comments:

This was taken at Tripod Rock in NJ. this boulder rests on three small rocks (legend has it that natives levitated the boulder onto the smaller rocks) but is has also been said that this was caused by a glacier. there are two smaller “tripods” close by and it has been discovered that they mark the summer solstice. the picture below the spirit is just to give you a clearer view of the formation. My first impression was that it was a turtle face.

Grandfather Buffalo – The Power of “Word”

wordsPerhaps you have listened to a person giving a speech and left feeling uplifted, empowered, even encouraged to take up the banner and move forward. Such is the power of speech.

Perhaps you have heard someone speak and your spirit falls. You are saddened, depressed, even to the point of defeat. Such is the power of speech.

If we look closely, we will see that the spoken word is energy – a frequency that carries specific vibrations depending on tone, inflection, and yes, even emotion. Thought creates the process, then is added to or diminished by the inflection and emotion.

When the word is written down, that word (“No” for example) is held in a container. Depending on it’s context, your thought and speaking of the word causes it to leave its container (the printed word), and may, by its expression, release those frequencies into action.

Ex: If you softly said “No” to a child, he will understand that he should not do something.

If you were to say “Oh NO!” regarding some tragic event, you release fear and sadness.

If you in anger say “NO!!” You have released another frequency altogether. There is a power in the word that affects everyone, and yes, everything around you.

Each one of us are the thoughts and speech we release from ourselves. We are responsible for where they go, for who is harmed, saddened, gladdened, inspired, or deflated by those actions. Most of all we are responsible in speaking of and to ourselves. Is it someone else’s fault that I may have failed? Is it my responsibility that I have misunderstood? Take the words you hear. Learn from them, and make them positive.

If there is judgement, anger, or reprimand, let us each understand the situation and the words we would use. Especially what emotion is behind it before we speak.

You alone are responsible for the energy of “word” that you release in a created life force energy. First think before you speak, and then ask “How can we speak to one another in a way that uplifts us both”?

To help you with the power of correct words, here are a few stones who desire to help you:

Chrysoprase – fluent speech

Emerald – mental clarity

I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of the telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life’s realities. ~Dr. Seuss

One day, in the not so long ago past, I waited happily for a class of young students to get a drink from the fountain before I took my turn. Most were quick and polite, but one young boy irresistibly caught my attention.   When his turn arrived instead of reaching for the knob that would allow the water to flow, he placed his hands in front of his heart as if in prayer, raised to his tip toes and then moved as though he were going to dive into the drinking fountain.  Deep in his imagination he was somewhere else, perhaps his favorite swimming pool, a lake,  perhaps in a place he’d read about or created in his mind.

drinking_fountainTo this young boy, his was a world that was very real, and very comfortable.   He could easily tap into an inner world that allowed his spirit to soar and his soul to sing.  It was magic to be a part of the outing we were involved in, and observe more of his whole being; his intelligence, curiosity and his friendships. Clearly he knew how to walk the world of wholeness; he had balance between the world that man had created, and the world that made him fulfilled.

That fine line of being able to allow yourself or your child to flow in between what society thinks is real and what is essential to them is very important to allowing them negotiate life and exist with balance, and joy.  While it may be seem simple advice it is best said that in order to have this balance and joy, the child, as well as the adult, must have time spent doing what makes them happy, what allows them to go deep within their soul and sparks wonder and peace.

For the youth and adults of the new consciousness, these worlds are places to step into when they are needed to relax, to create, a coping skill and sometimes even a place to touch base with a truer form of themselves.

Make sure you help carve time daily for your child and/or  yourself to engage in play that connects their heart, mind and spirit. If they’re an art enthusiast, encourage a block of time in which they simply create without distraction. If they’re interested in building, let them work and/or design, if they are currently involved in costumes, promote how to make them simply out of items around the house.  Remember that these things will grow and change just as your child does, be flexible when they wish to dip their toe into another pond to explore a new possibility and encourage their wonder.

Promoting this within your child’s life means you are sowing seeds that will help them as they grow into adulthood to use as a touchstone, and perhaps find their way to access inspiration and peace when life becomes difficult. They may go through times when they aren’t mainstream because they have a better grasp of what makes them happy and whole, but in the end this saves them from many pitfalls they may come across as they mature.

Embrace the unreal world, it is the place where inspiration is found, and magic is created.

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” ~Steve Jobs

Grandfather Buffalo – Following Your Path

First-StepWe have all been asked at one time or another, “What is it that you do? What spiritual path are you on?” Some of us have probably said “I don’t know what I am supposed to be doing. Who can show me my path?”

There are many people who guide and teach us on our journeys in life. And yet we may feel “I have all this knowledge but I still do not know where I am going or what my destiny is. Who can help me find the answer”?

In The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings series, Bilbo says: “It’s a dangerous thing going out your door, Frodo. You take your first step and you never know where it will lead you.”

Here, then, is the first step in fulfilling your purpose or destiny. Do not wait for someone to tell you what it is but, rather, just go forward. There may be times you travel off the path, or even seem to go in circles. You might even ask yourself, “What am I doing here, and where do I go next?”

We often seem to be in the Indiana Jones space, where he comes to a cave opening, and there is nothing to step on but air. By faith, he takes that step and a bridge appears. This is the best advice we could receive. Have faith and move forward.

It is almost certain that you will examine all the pros and cons of moving forward. You will say to yourself “I know I need to do this or that, but I also need to know that I can make a living doing this or that.” However, the dilemma is that the core answer is “not-this, not-that.” It is never wrong, then, when puzzling about your life, to move either forward or hold back. As I am often told, you are always where you’re supposed to be, regardless of the circumstance. Let life be your guide. Learn from and utilize the lessons.

Just let me close with this piece of advice.

“Step forward, my child. Your destiny is before you”.

“I know it is there. I just don’t know the way, Great Mother.”

“Here is the way, my child. Lift a foot, it matters not which one. Move it forward in the air. Now set it down firmly on the Earth. My little one, now lift the other foot and bring it forward, past the first one. Do you see, my child, that it is your path. Follow it where ever it leads.”

Grandfather Buffalo – Affirmations

Affirmations are positive thought forms which we create to change old habits or beliefs. How often have you heard “You did this wrong” or “You did that wrong.” Perhaps you have even said to yourself, “I am not good enough to get that job.” “I just can’t get the hang of it, because I just don’t understand.” Someone says to you that “You are always sick,” and you come back, “I am a very unhealthy person.”

cat-lionThese are just a few of the negative thoughts we have accumulated over our life times. They will and do affect our health and well being. Perhaps it is time to take a positive stand and put the positive spin to our lives. Here is how you can do this. First look into the mirror and tell yourself “I am not worth anything.” If this doesn’t apply to you, what phrase have you heard or felt so much that it is a part of you? When you look in the mirror what do you see and how do you feel? You may feel tired and look depressed, bags under the eyes or even pale.

Now create a positive affirmation. “I am a very worthy person, all things come to me because of it.”

Again, look into the mirror. What do you see? Are you the same person you saw before? Do you see a difference in your appearance? Now as you look into the mirror, visualize things coming to you because you are worthy. Look into the mirror again. Now how do you look and feel? Here is a little secret. You deserve to be worthy to obtain whatever affirmation you state.

Everyday, several times a day, say that positive affirmation to yourself. Tape it to your mirror, your car’s dashboard, your work station. Wherever you spend the most time, have that affirmation handy.

Here are a few areas of life that affirmations will be needed:

Health, Fears and Phobias, Criticism, Self Forgiveness, Money, Friends, Self Esteem, Judgement (self or other), Addictions, Work Relations, Prosperity and Abundance, Love and Relationships.

And here are a few examples:

“I am afraid to be angry” — “I am not afraid to be angry”

“My body is weak and unhealthy” — “My body is strong and healthy”

“I Just can’t do anything right” — “Everything I do is perfectly OK”

Try these or create your own and try them everyday for a month and see how you feel.
