Staff Speak – Earth Song
“Every beauty which is seen here by persons of perception resembles more than anything else that celestial source from which we all are come.”~Michelangelo
We are blessed to live on a planet that is a symphony for our senses. Our earth home has been created for our optimal needs. From the air we breathe, to the wealth of fresh water, to the rich soil that allows our food to grow. Everything on this planet was established to create balance within ourselves, our body and in nature. Indeed, we and nature are partners on our journey here on earth. This partnership affects every aspect of our lives, for what happens to the earth in turn affects what will happen to us. Time spent in nature is beneficial to us all and is essential to our existence as an integral part of the earth. Being out of doors can help in the clearing our worries and anxieties, ground us to Mother Earth, and strengthen our bodies which leads to a healthier life. While we are out of doors the universe has provided a symphony full of healing energy, nurturing for the soul, and ultimately providing balance to our lives. The call of the birds, the wind, the crickets and rain, are the sound therapy of the universe. Glistening snow, mimicking the diamond while blanketing the earth, the glorious sun providing warmth, shimmering colors of the fauna, give pleasure through the eye. Aromatherapy is found through the heady bouquet of the earth; freshly mown grass, the enticing scent of pine, and flowers that delight the bee. These are all gifts to our existence, working in tandem with the rest of the earth in an intricate and seamless web of co-operation and harmony. The next time you head out of doors, leave your phone behind along with your mp3 player, and allow your body and soul to find peace within the wonder and joy of the symphony the universe has worked so magnificently to provide. Allow yourself to come together with the melody, and work on your own song. Give thanks for the blessings in your life and allow yourself to really see your earth home, and the wealth of this place called earth. ~Tracy Paddy
